Catching Up…And Breaking News
I am sorry it has been a while since my last post. I have been busy trying to catch up with work, housework, sleep and spending time with Ben. I have also returned to working with the Utah Football team as well so there isn’t much time left in each day. Since most of the football players live in town for summer training I have been going to the training room to cover their 6am practices and their afternoon practices as well. One of the things they do in the afternoon is called perimeter flex and it is when the quarterbacks and receivers work on routes. There are two pictures below. This particular day it was very hot in Utah, as it has been for the last few weeks so they practiced in the indoor facility. It’s a great facility and I thought you might want to see it. The bright yellow things on the ceiling are the goal posts for the Utah Blaze, the local Arena football team if you are wondering.
Yesterday Ben and I went to the driving range again and then played 9 holes at the Sandy City golf course. It is a challenging and really nice course. We had a blast. I am getting a little better each time and Ben is very patient so we have a great time playing together. Here are a couple of shots of Ben.
After golf we headed to our friend Afton’s house for her birthday dinner party. It was great to catch up with her and some of our other friends but Ben noticed a big black smoke cloud out the window and soon after his work called and he had to go cover a “Breaking News” story about an industrial fire. The best part was that since I was with him, I got to go too. So here are the photos I took before we went and during the flight. It was really cool. I am much more comfortable in the helicopter now and am hoping to get to go flying with Ben again soon. And you will notice that there are photos of Law & Order and the Breaking News story on the screen in the helicopter, the reception isn’t great but you can at least make it out. The footage from Chopper 5 was Live when it said Breaking News on the screen. Pretty cool. That’s all for now. Hope all is well!
