I am finally back at home and enjoying a little time off.  I am exhausted and trying to catch up on sleep and housework.  Ben and I went to the driving range yesterday at our city’s public course.  It was fun to get some repetitions in and try to figure out what works and what doesn’t.  I used all of my clubs except my putter on the range to try to learn how to swing them all and to try to hit the ball.  I had a couple of good hits on the range but am still very inconsistent.  It was a lot of fun to go out with Ben though.  It was about 100 degrees when we were out there so after hitting close to 100 balls each we were ready to come inside into the AC.

Today we went and played 9 holes at the course down the road.  It was a lot of fun.  This course was a lot easier than the other two I have played so far.  The holes were a lot shorter and I had some nice shots which was cool.  The course is not very well maintained however, there were sticks and leaves all over the course and a lot of the grass is burned and dead, as you can see in the photo below of the tee box that looks like it’s in the middle of the desert.  It was hard to find my ball since there was a lot of shrapnel on the course.   I got a glove for my left hand last night which helped a lot since I managed to get a really bad blister at the driving range yesterday.  I guess I was holding the club way too tight, at least I didn’t do that today since I couldn’t because it hurt too much.  The worst part is that I didn’t notice I had the blister until it had already ripped open.  There is a photo of my blister below, sorry it is focused on the ground but it gives you an idea of how bad it is.  I also have a blister/callus from my wedding rings which I took off today while playing.  It was about 100 degrees again today but Ben and I had fun cruising around the course. Ben can really hit the ball well he just needs to work on where he hits it.  We are hoping to go the range again one night this week and then play another 9 holes next weekend.  Hope all is well!
