Mt Hood Camp - Day 15
Well we are on the home stretch, we had another great day of Super G training today. We had another near full-length Super G course that Ian set. It was really windy this morning and cold but the snow was set up nicely and we didn’t even need to salt today because the snow was so firm. Ian carried the coats down for the athletes so they could stay warm and I could take pictures (see photo below). The wind made it hard to to set the fence today but we got it done and had a good day. We took it easy today during dryland because the athletes are getting tired. After our team meeting and video and photo review session we all started packing which is quite a process with all of the gear we travel with. Tomorrow we will be skiing Super G again and then rush home from the mountain to drop off the the athletes and help them pack up their gear, then load our gear into the two vehicles Erik, Ray, Ian and I need to drive back to Park City. We will be driving all afternoon and evening to make it back to our house so that we can get up in the morning for our two day leadership training seminar at our home office in Park City. We will definitely need some coffee in the morning on Thursday that’s for sure. Jared will stay here and help the athletes that are flying get to the airport and then fly back to Denver. I has been a great camp and the athletes have made a lot of progress and are skiing well. I probably won’t be able to post anything tomorrow since I will be spending the day on the mountain and then in the car. I hope all is well!
