I’m published!
While my photos have appeared in Ski Racing Magazine before, they have never been credited there, so today when the new issue of O & P Business News arrived in my mailbox, I was thrilled to see two of my photos in an excellent article written about Challenge Aspen’s Ski program. You can find the article and photos here but you will have to create a password to view the article.
I spent the last week struggling to juggle work and school. I spent the week working in Park City with our Program Director, Head Coaches (Alpine and Cross Country) and Team Manager planning for next year and preparing our presentation, which we gave Thursday. It is nice to be done with that now. The presentation went really well which was a nice reward for all of the hard work we all put in. I took some photos on my way up to Park City on Monday. I left an hour in advance and the drive usually only takes 40 minutes, but it took a little over 2 hours that day because of a blizzard that came in a slammed us. There were 18-wheelers on the side of the road stuck, cars sliding everywhere, and I even saw an SUV go from the right lane spinning across three lanes and hit the concrete median right in front of me. Luckily nobody was injured and I made it safely to work but it was a little hairy. The photos are below. We are heading to the Real Salt Lake game tonight against DC United. I am really excited to take some more photos of the team with my new lens. I hope all is well.

Shouldn’t your hands have been on the steering wheel while taking these pictures?!?!?!

Boy, Jess, Awful conditions. I remember similar driving home after races associated with Pico. At this point, I can only say better you (driving) than me. I did that regularly, but haven’t had to lately. Love, Mom
