Tired but Home Again!!
I arrived at 1 am this morning (Dec 8th) and then woke up at 530 am to get up and head off to the training room for football practice. Luckily we had practice in the indoor facility as there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground this morning. The plows hadn’t made it to our street yet but I managed to get safely to the University in my 4WD vehicle. It was weird to be back with football after two weeks away but it was nice to catch up with everyone and share in the team’s excitement as they prepare for their bowl game (the first bowl of the season Dec 20th on ESPN–Tune in and cheer on the Utes!!) It was also nice to catch up with my friends and classmates and hear all about what they have been doing. After practice I came home with the best intentions of working all day in preparation for finals which begin Monday (I have three exams back to back to back Monday morning) but I was too tired from my journey and needed to nap instead.
We finally got the Christmas tree up (I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving) and got some of our house decorations out, we will finish the outdoor lights tomorrow (hopefully) and post a photo. Now I have to get organized and do my holiday shopping…perhaps I will focus on that after finals. And we are hosting our class’ Christmas party here Tuesday night so after the studying I need to make some lasagna and get the house ready for visitors while trying to catch up on sleep.
Here is a photo of the snow on our deck railing.
