Breckenridge Day 9
Today was race day. We had our first race of the season, a slalom Nor-Am and the team did quite well despite the blizzard conditions and snowfall overnight. I am attaching photos of our team vehicle that is covered as well as a cute one of the girls at the start.
I, as usual, am bundled up in two coats. I am with L to R: Laurie Stephens, Elitsa Storey and Allison Jones. Both Laurie and Allison were on the podium in their classes today! It is great to have the first race under our belts. The team is skiing well and hopefully the GS tomorrow will also go well. It is still dumping snow on us but the coaches and staff members from all the teams (no they didn’t give me a rake today) worked really hard together to get the course ready yesterday so I am sure we will do the same thing tomorrow. It is the plan to attempt to drive home tomorrow right after the race but the snow may limit my travels so I will play it by ear. Hope all is well on your end!!
PS–Go Utes!!! The Utes will be playing in the Poinsettia Bowl vs Navy during my next trip to Winter Park (Dec 16-20) so I will be watching on TV…
