Breckenridge Day 3

29 November, 2007 (14:05) | News!

It was warmer today but I am not sure if that is because I had two coats on and boot heaters or because it was actually warmer. And yes I was trying to look like Cartman…The good news is that the lifts can run in wind gusts up to 55 MPH (or so I was told), the bad news is they can run in wind gusts up to 55 MPH, so despite the howling wind we were still able to ski. No new snow overnight made for excellent super G training for the team and left me hauling the clothes bag instead of a rake :) This afternoon we have round 3 of the Walleyball Championships (rounds 1 and 2 were played during summer camp at Mt.Hood, OR). Walleyball is always a lot of fun and a great team bonding experience.

Ben will be back tonight with more news from the Birds of Prey and then will return to Utah to head back to work tomorrow morning. We have had a great time in Colorado, including a fabulous meal at My Thai in Breckenridge last night…if you are in Breck and like Thai we definitely recommend you eat there!

Ben returned from Beaver Creek after a great day of racing. They got the super combined off without any problems and 3 Americans were in the top 10: Bode Miller in 4th, Ted Ligety in 8th, and TJ Lanning in 10th. Ben got a great shot of Ted…now who is the photographer in the family?
