Breckenridge Day 2
Well we had about 9 inches of fresh snow fall overnight which is great for the local ski areas and powder hounds, but not the best conditions for super G training. With many slip runs and rakes and shovels we were able to get the course prepped and the athletes got some good training in. I was bundled up as much as possible and still freezing…and I thought I was cold during the last few days of football practice, yeah right! Ben left early this morning to drive over to Beaver Creek so I am excited to hear about his adventures during the second training run for the downhill at the Birds of Prey World Cup, he will be back tonight.
Update from Beaver Creek: well it’s not much of an update since they canceled the training run today and Ben spent three hours shoveling snow out of the course (notice a theme for today?). He reports they got about a foot snow overnight so they had their work cut out for them. Hopefully they will have good weather the rest of the week and get the races off.

You are so cute. It sounds like your trip to Colorado is going well. I miss you but you deserved a break from football. I’ll keep you updated on our academic and social calendar. Good luck with everything and I can’t wait to see you.
